KBR resident to face trial on charge of involvement in IAF
In the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (KBR), the Prosecutor's Office has approved the indictment in the criminal case against Eduard Khodorkovsky, detained in June 2013 and accused of involvement in an illegal armed formation (IAF). The criminal case has been brought to court.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that onJune 29, 2013, a regime of counterterrorist operation (CTO) was introduced within the part of the territories of the Urvan and Cherek Districts of the KBR. During the special operation conducted in a forest area near the village of Zaragizh in the Cherek District, law enforcers found a group of suspected militants. One of them was killed in a shootout. The law enforcement agencies have also reported on the detention of one more militant and three of his accomplices.
According to the Prosecutor's Office, Eduard Khodorkovsky is accused of committing crimes under Articles "attempt on life of a law enforcer", "illicit arms trafficking", and "involvement in an illegal armed formation."
