Evkurov updates to "Caucasian Knot" information of "Kommersant" on militants' adaptation

Eight persons who passed through the commission for militants' adaptation received real prison terms; the remaining 59 were employed the head of Ingushetia Yunus-Bek Evkurov told the "Caucasian Knot" in his clarification of the information published by the newspaper "Kommersant". He also clarified that he no longer supports the idea of the responsibility of militants' relatives for their actions.

Earlier, Mr Evkurov said, in an interview to the "Kommersant", that within a couple of years 67 people had passed through the commission of militants' adaptation; and only one of them later returned into the underground. According to the updated information of the Ingush leader, these facts still need a recheck.

Eight ex-militants treated by the commission received real prison terms up to 14 years.

The current Russian legislation does not allow depriving militants' relatives of social benefits, allowances and pensions; heads of regions also have no such powers, said Evkurov, adding that in his opinion militants' relatives should bear moral, not criminal, responsibility.
