Azerbaijan and Georgia support OSCE PA's declaration on Ukraine's territorial integrity

The delegations of Azerbaijan and Georgia have supported the declaration of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE PA), which states the necessity to respect the principles of inviolability of state borders and supports the territorial integrity of Ukraine, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports.

The Azerbaijani delegation voted for the final Baku declaration, which expressed support for the territorial integrity of Ukraine, as this document covers a broad range of issues related to the activities of the OSCE PA, said Azai Guliev, a member of the Azerbaijani delegation to the OSCE PA.

"This declaration reflects many of the issues concerning Azerbaijani interests. It emphasizes support for the principles of the inviolability of borders and territorial integrity, calls to ensure a safe return of displaced persons to their homeland, which is especially important for Azerbaijan, where as a result of the Armenian aggression about one million people were expelled from their lands," said Guliev.

At the same time, the Azerbaijani delegation did not support the resolution adopted on July 1 and entitled "Obvious, gross and unfair violation by the Russian Federation of Helsinki Principles", which was submitted by Benjamin Cardin, Deputy Head of the US delegation to the OSCE PA.

The Georgian delegation has unanimously supported the adoption of the Baku Declaration of the OSCE PA, said Zurab Abashidze, Vice Speaker of the Georgian Parliament from the ruling coalition "Georgian Dream".
