Ecologist Evgeny Vitishko complains about violation of his rights in colony-settlement

In his phone conversation with members of the "Ecological Watch for Northern Caucasus" (EcoWatch), ecologist Evgeny Vitishko has complaint about being subjected to pressure by the administration of the penal colony-settlement No. 2 of the Department for the Tambov Region of the Russian Federal Penitentiary Service (known as FSIN).

During the current week, the administration of the colony-settlement has compiled several reports against Evgeny Vitishko on his alleged violations of internal regulations. He was also subjected to disciplinary penalty for "negligent attitude towards the working process in the colony-settlement." This was told to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent by a member of the "EcoWatch".

Evgeny Vitishko has informed the member of the "EcoWatch" that in the nearest future, he may be thrown to the punishment cell. The ecologist fears after that, the administration of the penitentiary institution will probably apply to the supervisory authorities to transfer him to a common-security penal colony.

Evgeny Vitishko and his colleagues associate the pressure against the ecologist with his appeals to the supervisory authorities in connection with violations of the inmates' rights by warders of the colony-settlement and with his recent complaint to the Prosecutor's Office about the mass beating of the inmates of the colony-settlement.
