In Sochi, participants of anti-corruption rally claim officials ignore their demands

In Sochi, officials ignore the demands of mothers of large families, persons with disabilities, and ecologists. This was stated by participants of the anti-corruption rally held in Sochi. The protestors have also noted indifference of Sochi residents.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on July 5, in Sochi, about 100 people attended the rally on combating corruption in the government agencies and abuse of officials in the sphere of land relations.

Residents of Sochi should be more active. This opinion was expressed by Roman Shikarev, one of the organizers of the rally, the leader of the movement "Law and Order", in his interview to the "Caucasian Knot".

"The number of participants of the rally no more than one hundred people speaks for itself. The city residents are passively waiting, when someone starts to solve for them the problems of corruption in the government agencies and fight them. This is a wrong attitude," Roman Shikarev has said.

According to the protesters, the officials have ignored the rally in Sochi.

"Note that no member of the government agencies did attend the next rally. However, if we are not one hundred people, but one hundred thousand, I believe that the authorities would take another attitude towards us. And they would solve quickly and under the law a lot of the issues that they solve behind the scenes now," Yuri Maryan, Chairman of the City Anti-corruption Committee.
