MfE: TACs in SFD accommodate almost 7000 Ukrainian refugees
By July 6, the Southern Federal District (SFD) had deployed 80 stationary and five field temporary accommodation centres (TACs), which received 6917 refugees from the Donetsk and Lugansk Regions of Ukraine, said the press service of the Southern Regional Centre of the Russia's Ministry for Emergencies (MfE).
The press service has added that since the start of arrival of forced migrants from Ukraine, over 30,000 of them managed to settle with their relatives and friends.
Overall, more than 30 Russian regions have accommodated Ukrainian citizens, Alexander Drobyshevsky, the spokesman of the Russia's MfE said on July 6.
"Within the last 24 hours we opened eight TACs; making the total number of them in Russia nearly 300, which provide refuge to about 19,000 people," the ITAR-TASS quotes the above spokesman as saying.
