Miller: son of one of the victims of Tsapok's gang identifies his body

Today, Jalil Ametov, a son of the farmer who was assassinated in the village of Kuschevskaya, has identified the body presented to him as the body of the criminal gang leader Sergey Tsapok, said Natalia Miller, the advocate of the victims of the massacre in Kuschevskaya.

Let us remind you that on July 7, Sergey Tsapok was found dead in a one-man cell of SIZO (pre-trial prison) No. 1 of Krasnodar, where he was placed after his defence had appealed against his conviction. The Prosecutor's Office of the Krasnodar Territory has stated that the body had no signs of violent death, while the cause of Tsapok's death was an occlusion of the lung artery. Later, the victims in the case of the organized criminal gang from the village of Kuschevskaya sent an application to the Investigating Department for the Krasnodar Territory of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF), in which they insisted on conducting a genetic examination and personal involvement in the identification of Sergey Tsapok's body.

The Prosecutor's Office agreed to satisfy the request of relatives of the victims of the massacre; and today an initiative group of villagers identified Tsapok in the body presented to them, said the lawyer Natalia Miller.

She added that the request of the victims to hold a genetic examination was also satisfied; the results thereof "will be presented within two weeks," the ITAR-TASS reports.
