Former head of Kizilyurt ROVD killed in Dagestan
As reported by a law enforcement source from Dagestan, Aitemir Salimgereev, a former head of the ROVD (District Interior Division), was killed in his house in Kizilyurt.
The retired colonel was shot dead in an assault, when four armed men broke into his house; they roped up his son, killed the former policeman and disappeared, the "Interfax" reports quoting the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of Dagestan.
"The main version of the murder is the professional activities, Salimgereev was engaged in when working as the head of Khasavyurt first and then – of the Kizilyurt ROVD. Besides, he was involved in combating extremism," the RIA "Novosti" quotes its source from the ID for Dagestan of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF).
