Volgograd Region hosts picket in support of Nikolai Parshin deprived of MP's immunity

In the evening of July 9, in the Volgograd Region, the city of Volzhsky hosted a picket "Case Against Parshin is Case Against Me". The picket was organized by the Regional Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (CPRF) in support of Nikolai Parshin, a deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, the leader of the Volgograd Committee of the CPRF. This was reported by the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

On July 4, at the last meeting of the spring session, deputies of the Russian State Duma voted to deprive of deputy immunity Nikolai Parshin, a deputy from the CPRF faction, suspected of fraud. The leader of the Regional Branch of the CPRF has associated the incident with the upcoming election of the Governor of the Volgograd Region.

In Volgograd, the protest action was attended by 15 activists of the Regional Branch of the CPRF. They were standing in a picket with posters and red flags of the CPRF in their hands. The picketers claimed that Nikolai Parshin had been deprived of deputy immunity and charged with a criminal offense by a political order on the eve of the election of the Governor of the Volgograd Region.
