Relatives of four casualties of special operation in Dagestan cannot get dead men’s bodies for burial

Relatives of the four locals, killed during the special operation conducted in the Dagestani village of Maidanskoe, complain that they cannot get dead men’s bodies for burial from law enforcers.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in the morning on July 6 the Untsukul District of Dagestan was put under the counterterrorist operation (CTO) regime. According to the Russian National Antiterrorist Committee (NAC), during the special operation in Maidanskoe four local residents were killed: Magomed Paizulaev, 21; Magomedrasul Paizulaev, 22; Akhmed Gitinov, 25; and Gadjimurad Magomedov, 34.

However, as claimed by their relatives, the above four residents of the village were detained by power agents during the searches of houses on July 6.

In his turn, a source from the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of Dagestan told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that the above four villagers of Maidanskoe, detained on July 6, were later released and sent home.

"We had operative information that they could be involved in aiding the members of the 'Balakhani' grouping, but it was not exactly established. However, it turned out that after they were set free, they joined the members of the illegal armed formation (IAF) and were killed during the special operation," said the source.

The bodies of those killed during the special operation will be given out to relatives after the end of the identification procedure, an employee of the morgue in Makhachkala told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
