Azerbaijani soldier and Armenian officer fall victim to Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Armenian MoD reports
An Azerbaijani soldier, a member of a diversion group, was killed on July 11 during an operation to neutralize the group in the territory of Karvachar located on the border of Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh; also, an Armenian officer was lost, and a woman was wounded, reports the press service of the Armenian Ministry of Defence (MoD).
The death of the Azerbaijani soldier was reported on July 12 by Seiran Oganyan, the head of the Armenian MoD, during the military parade to mark the 17th anniversary of the foundation of the Fourth Army Corps. This was written by Artsrun Ovannisyan, the press secretary of the Armenian MoD, in his page on the Facebook.
The "News-Armenia" adds by quoting Ovannisyan that in the course of the shootout an Armenian officer was killed, and a woman was wounded.
The "NEWS.am" reports with reference to the press secretary that the wounded woman was taken to the Yerevan hospital "Muratsan".
So far, no comments of the Azerbaijani party as to the soldier's death are available.
