In Stavropol Territory, policemen kill a man who opened fire on them
Today in the morning, in the Novoselitskoe District of the Stavropol Territory, policemen killed a man who opened fire on law enforcers. The casualty has not been identified yet, reports the press office of the Chief Department (CD) of Russia's MIA for the North-Caucasian Federal District (NCFD).
The armed skirmish occurred near the dwelling settlement of Padinskaya in the forest strip, which was cordoned off by operative agents and special force soldiers based on their operative information.
According to power agents, a fire was opened on them from the depths of the woods – they opened fire in response.
The fire contact lasted for about 10 minutes, resulting in a killed man, not identified yet, on whom they found a TT pistol and a grenade.
None of the law enforcers was hurt, says the statement posted on the website of the above CD of the MIA for the NCFD.
