Tsarnaev's acquaintance found guilty of concealing evidence of terror act in Boston
Azamat Tazhayakov, a student from Kazakhstan was found guilty by jurymen of a conspiracy and obstructing the justice in the case on the terror act committed during the Boston Marathon.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that apart from Tsarnaev brothers, the figurants in the case are citizens of Kazakhstan Azamat Tazhayakov and Dias Kadyrbaev, as well as a US citizen Robel Philippos. Investigators believe that Tazhayakov and Kadyrbaev knew Dzhokhar Tsarnaev; and after the terror act they were involved in destructing the evidence, thereby, hampering the investigation.
The jurymen managed to pass their verdict only after 15 hours of debates that lasted for three days. Today, they recognized that the native of Kazakhstan took part in concealing the evidence. Tazhayakov is under threat of 20 years in prison for obstruction of justice, and five years more for conspiracy, the "Interfax" reports.
The sentence will be pronounced on October 16, the Boston Herald reports citing the US Justice Department.
