Resident of Makhachkala states disappearance of her husband

Nuriyan Abdulaeva, a resident of the settlement of Tarki of Makhachkala, reports about disappearance of her husband Asoltan Amaev, suspecting that he could be kidnapped by power agents. The Sovietskiy ROVD (District Interior Division) of Makhachkala reports that Amaev was not taken there.

Nuriyan said that she has no contacts with her husband, born in 1969, since July 21.

She suggests that her husband could be detained because he is a Salafi and was earlier convicted for participating in illegal armed formations (IAFs).

"It was before I married him – he spent 4.5 years in prison for participating in IAFs; but now he does nothing illegal. We have three young children; and he worked for them," she said.

The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was informed by Aisha Selimkhanova, an activist of the Dagestani Regional Public Organization (DRPO) "Pravozaschita" (Advocacy), where Abdulaeva addressed orally about the disappearance of her husband, that so far they could not locate Amaev.
