Body of missing resident of Dagestan found

Asoltan Amaev, a resident of the settlement Tarki of Makhachkala, who was considered missing, was found burned down in his car on the road in the Kumtorkalin District, said the Dagestani Regional Public Organization (DRPO) "Pravozaschita" (Advocacy).

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on July 22 Nuriya Abdulaeva, a resident of Tarki, reported the disappearance of her husband Asoltan Amaev. She suggested that he could be kidnapped by law enforcers. The Sovietskiy ROVD (District Interior Division) of Makhachkala said that Amaev was not delivered to them.

Today it became known that Amaev was found burned down in his car in the Kumtorkalin District of Dagestan, a few kilometres off the village of Novaya Urada, as Aisha Selimkhanova, an activist of the above DRPO, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

She added that "no official identification was conducted yet, but the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) has confirmed the information."

The MIA has explained that all the circumstances of the incident are being investigated.
