Roundtable on situation in Gaza Strip was last event attended by Timur Kuashev

The roundtable held in Makhachkala on "Viewpoints of Russian Muslims on Reasons of Palestinian-Israeli Confrontation and Settlement Prospects" was the last public event, where Timur Kuashev, a journalist and human rights activist, was speaking; on August 1 he was found dead and buried today in Nalchik.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Timur's funeral on Saturday was attended by about 200 people.

The above roundtable was held on July 25 and resulted in a draft resolution with a call to support the initiative of the Mufti of Dagestan Akhmad-Haji Abdulaev to start fundraising for Palestine, and an appeal to the head of Dagestan Ramazan Abdulatipov to seek funds to help Palestinians, in the same way as it was done for Ukrainians.

Kuashev said at the roundtable that, in his opinion, the events that had been unfolding in the region since 1948 and to this day are the genocide of the Palestinian people. He also said that the Palestinian scenario is being staged in Northern Caucasus, where the "anti-Islamic conflict is unfolding."

Let us remind you that on August 1 Kuashev's colleagues reported that they saw no traces of violence on his body; however, his friend Abakar Abakarov said that he saw damages and a trace of an injection on Timur's body.
