Makhachkala resident detained on suspicion of possessing ammunition

In Makhachkala, policemen found ammunition in the car of a 27-year-old local resident.

According to the police, during operative actions, they stopped a VAZ-2104 car, driven by a 27-year-old local resident. During a personal search of the driver policemen found and confiscated 70 rounds of 7.62 mm calibre, an RGD-5 grenade and a fuse to it. The man was detained and taken to the police station.

A criminal case has been opened against him on suspicion of illegal possession of ammunition, and he was placed into custody, says the website of the Chief Department for the North-Caucasian Federal District (NCFD) of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA).

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in July, law enforcers detained a resident of Dagestan, in whose house they found firearms and ammunition. The suspect was arrested by the court.
