Woman commits self-immolation in Baku

Khatira Imanova, who committed self-immolation in the marketplace in Baku, died before the arrival of doctors. Her death is investigated by law enforcement bodies under the article on driving to suicide.

The suicide of Imanova was reported by the Baku prosecutor's office in the evening on August 14. According to the office, on August 13, when in the marketplace "Taza Bazar" in the Nasimi District, the 36-year-old woman poured some flammable liquid over herself and then set herself on fire.

Visitors of the marketplace tried to extinguish the flames, but they failed; and Imanova died on the spot from received burns, the "1News.az" reports.

The reasons for the suicide are not known yet. Investigators know that Imanova took her inpatient treatment at the clinical psychiatric hospital of Baku, where doctors diagnosed her with "histrionic personality disorder," the "Vesti.az" writes with reference to the prosecutor's office.

No comments from relatives and doctors of Khatira Imanova about the incident have arrived so far.
