Resident of Buynaksk succeeds in exclusion of his name from MIA's prevention registration list
Today, the Buynaksk District Court has pronounced the decision in the lawsuit filed by physician Daniyal Alkhasov to exclude his name from the so-called prevention registration list. This was told to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent by Oleg Orlov, a manager of the "Hot Spots" programme of the Human Rights Centre (HRC) "Memorial".
The lawsuit was considered by Yusup Salikhov, Chairman of the Buynaksk District Court. The Judge found unlawful the inclusion of Daniyal Alkhasov in the police prevention registration list and the police's refusal to exclude his name from the above list.
According to Oleg Orlov, the interests of Daniyal Alkhasov were represented by lawyers, engaged on an agreement with the HRC "Memorial", including advocate Murat Magomedov, and Galina Tarasova, a lawyer of the "Hot Spots" programme, who arrived to the trial from Moscow.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in Dagestan, the police actively use the practice of inclusion of residents of the republic in the prevention registration list. According to the human rights defenders, the police often unreasonably include people in the above list, for example, because of the fact that a man wear a beard or visits a mosque.
