MIA and “Natsgvardia” sources fail to confirm law enforcers' wounding in Chechnya

Reports on the wounding of two law enforcers in an explosion in the outskirts of the village of Nozhai-Yurt have not been confirmed, report sources from the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) and the “Natsgvardia” (National Guard) of Russia. Local residents told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that in fact, two explosions occurred.

On July 27, a source from the law enforcement agencies reported two explosions on the outskirts of the village of Nozhai-Yurt. Fighters of the National Guard of Russia sent to Chechnya from Omsk were slightly injured, the source reports.

According to the spokesperson of the Department for Chechnya of the federal troops of the Russian National Guard, "none of the National Guard's fighters was injured during the past day."

"Most likely, they do not want to make the fact public to avoid conversations unnecessary for the Chechen authorities and the law enforcement agencies," believes Magomed, a resident of the Nozhai-Yurt District.

"It is possible that someone wanted to commit a terror act ... My friends told me that explosions occurred near a spring and two seconded law enforcers were slightly injured. After that, there was a big fuss there, soldiers and officers came and examined the place," added Adlan, another local resident.
