Law enforcers deny information about shootout in Dagestan

The information about the shelling of policemen in the Novolaksky District is untrue, said the spokesperson of the Dagestani Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA). According to his version, there were no attempts to attack law enforcers.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that today a source informed that the special services began checking the information about the shelling, in the evening on July 29, of a police unit in the Novolaksky District of Dagestan.

The press service of the above MIA said that "there was no attack on the Novolaksky ROVD (District Interior Division)." "There was not even an attempt; the information about the shelling of the ROVD is not true," Ruslan Mamatsaev, the deputy head of the press service of the Dagestani MIA, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
