1500 militaries raised on alert in Dagestan

Motorized rifle soldiers and marines, raised by training alert, have moved to the coastal training ground Adanak in Dagestan, the Southern Military District (SMD) has reported.

The exercises involve servicemen of the 58th Combined Army and the Caspian Flotilla; in total, more than 200 pieces of military equipment, as well as aircrafts, helicopters and ships are involved, Vadim Astafiev, the head of the press service of the SMD, has specified.

According to his story, during the exercises, a tactical group of the Marine Corps will master the landing on the coast of the Caspian Sea in the conditions of the training combined arms battle against motorized rifle divisions. The exercises will last until September 8, the TASS reports today with reference to Mr Astafiev.
