Armenian citizen injured in shelling from Azerbaijani side

The Azerbaijani armed forces shelled a border village in the Tavush District of Armenia. A local resident is wounded.

The village of Kochi was shelled at about 11:00 p.m. Moscow time on September 15, reported Felix Melikyan, the head of the rural community.

According to him, the fire from large-calibre weapons came from the Azerbaijani side, and a 60-year-old villager was wounded to his leg, the "Sputnik-Armenia" reports.

Artsrun Ovannisyan, the press secretary for the Ministry of Defence (MoD) for Armenia, has reported that the Armenian armed forces fired back, and "the enemy's activity was suppressed," the "Aysor.am" reports.

According to the Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, wounded villager Suren Sepkhanyan says he feels well.

At night on September 15, the border village of Chinari was shelled from the Azerbaijani side, reported Samvel Sagoyan, the head of the rural community. The defensive posts of the Armenian army were also shelled, and they opened fire in response.
