In Armenia, a soldier killed in shelling from Azerbaijani side
A soldier of the armed forces of Armenia died on the way to hospital from the wound he got in shelling in the conflict zone, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) for Armenia reported.
The incident occurred on September 19. A contract soldier who served in the armed forces of Armenia since 2011, was wounded to his neck, reports the website of the Armenian MoD.
The territory, controlled by one of the military units in the north-eastern direction of the Armenian border, was shelled from the Azerbaijani side, the "Sputnik-Armenia" reports with reference to the Armenian MoD.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the heads from the villages of Baganis and Kochi in the Tavush District of Armenia claimed their villages were shelled from the Azerbaijani positions at night on September 17. On September 15 and 16, the heads of the rural communities reported that the Armenian villages of Chinari and Kochi were shelled by Azerbaijan and a local resident was wounded.
