Azerbaijan reports machine-gun fire in conflict zone

Over a day, the positions of the Azerbaijani armed forces were shelled 23 times in the Karabakh conflict zone, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) for Azerbaijan reports today.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on November 7, the Azerbaijani MoD registered 24 cases of shelling in the conflict zone. Earlier, the Ministry of Defence for Nagorno-Karabakh claimed 100 attacks on its positions from the Azerbaijani side in the period from October 28 to November 3.

"The units of the Armenian armed forces used large-calibre machine guns and 23 times violated the ceasefire regime in different directions of the front within 24 hours," reports today the website of the Azerbaijani MoD.

According to the MoD, the positions of the Azerbaijani army in the village of Kokhnegyshlag in the Agstafa District and in the villages of Agbulag and Mundjuglu in the Tovuz District were shelled.

By 9:30 a.m. of today, on their official websites, the Ministries of Defence for Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh have not yet commented on the statement voiced by the Azerbaijani MoD.
