Ultimate Fighting Championship terminates contract with coach of Ramzan Kadyrov's sons

The administration of the Ultimate Fighting Championship, an American mixed martial arts (MMA) promotion company, has ceased its cooperation with Abdul-Kerim Edilov, a light heavyweight athlete from Chechnya, the media report.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Abdul-Kerim Edilov is a wrestling coach of Ramzan Kadyrov's sons. In November 2016, the minor sons of Ramzan Kadyrov presented their coach with a Porsche Panamera car. The price of the car was then about 8 million roubles.

In October 2016, Abdul-Kerim Edilov was disqualified for 15 months by the US Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) for consuming meldonium.

It is not reported whether the breach of the contract is connected with the doping scandal or with the international sanctions against Ramzan Kadyrov.

Abdul-Kerim Edilov is the world champion in universal fight. In 2015, he was recognized as the best Russian MMA fighter according to readers of the sports newspaper "Sovetsky Sport".
