"Hayastan" Fund urges to help 100 Armenian and NKR communities
The All-Armenian "Hayastan" Fund has launched its annual charity telethon, whose funds this year will be allocated to the development of water supply and solar energy in about 100 communities of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) and Armenia.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in 2018, during a similar telethon, the "Hayastan" Fund raised over USD 11.1 million, which was used to implement programmes in the NKR and create jobs in Armenian communities.
According to the Fund's spokesman, over 27 years of its operation, the Fund has fulfilled 1300 major projects in the field of public health, social welfare, infrastructure, arts and sports in Armenia and NKR.
Ashot Gulyan, Speaker of the NKR's National Assembly, has called on his compatriots to actively participate in the telethon.
Grigory Martirosyan, the State Minister of the NKR, has also stated on the Facebook that it is necessary to unite efforts for the development of Armenian and NKR's communities.
