Azerbaijan registers shelling attacks on two border villages

The positions of the Azerbaijani troops on the border with Armenia and in the Karabakh conflict zone were shelled 22 times within 24 hours, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) of Azerbaijan reported.

"The units of the armed forces of Armenia used sniper rifles and violated the ceasefire in various directions of the front 21 times within 24 hours," the Azerbaijani MoD reports in its today's message. In particular, the positions of the Azerbaijani troops in the village of Bala Djafarli and in the village of Asrik Djyrdakhan in the Tovuz District were shelled, the Azerbaijani MoD reported.

The fire came both from the direction of Armenia and from the areas considered by Azerbaijan as its occupied territories, the Azerbaijani MoD reported.
