Winners of contest of drawings in support of Ingush political prisoners announced
In total, 45 drawings were sent to the contest held in support of Ingush political prisoners; the authors of four of them were announced winners.
The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that the contest was organized by the supporting group of the arrested participants in the rally in Magas named "Neotlozhka" (Emergency Care). Mostly children and grandchildren of Ingush political prisoners were the participants of the contest. The authors of the drawings have expressed their protest against the injustice, and their desire to see their relatives at large, relatives of the participants of the contest and Marina Ken, a jury member, have noted.
The drawings have shown the way children see Ingushetia today, said Mariam Khorava, a blogger and another jury member. According to her story, the sense of the drawings was important for the jury.
She has added that children read about the events underway in the republic on the Internet; and they hear talks about the situation around political prisoners. "They understand everything; and they believe that people were imprisoned only because they fought for their land," said the jury member.
