NKR accuses Azerbaijan of 190 shelling attacks during week
Since February 2, Azerbaijani soldiers fired about 1200 rounds at positions of the Defence Army, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) has reported.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that from January 26 to February 1, NKR fixed 200 ceasefire violations committed by the Azerbaijani party.
"On February 2-8, Azerbaijanis violated the ceasefire regime for more than 200 times on the contact line of the armed forces of the Republic of Artsakh (the historical name of the NKR, – note of the "Caucasian Knot") and Azerbaijan by firing about 1200 shots in the direction of Armenian positions," the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent has conveyed a statement of the NKR's MoD. The shelling was delivered from small arms, the report says.
The Azerbaijani MoD has not yet commented on this statement on its website. According to the calculations run by the "Caucasian Knot", during the same period, on February 2-8, Azerbaijan reported 155 shelling attacks on its positions from the territory of Armenia and the NKR. Thus, during 24 hours on February 7-8, Azerbaijani positions were shelled for 22 times, the MoD reported.
