In Kabardino-Balkaria, fellow villagers of detainee support his demands to authorities
In Kabardino-Balkaria, Islam Kumyshev, a resident of the Zolsky District, who demanded to let his fellow villagers rent land plots, was released under recognizance not to leave in a case on possession of rounds. Fellow villagers of the activist mentioned their poor situation and requested the leader of Kabardino-Balkaria to allocate them land plots without any auction.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on February 14, Islam Kumyshev, a resident of the village of the Sovkhoznoye in the Zolsky District, was detained on suspicion of storing rounds. He demanded to let his fellow villagers rent land plots for farming. Residents of the Sovkhoznoye village suggested that the rounds were planted to the Islam Kumyshev's place.
On February 15, Islam Kumyshev was released under recognizance not to leave. He was involved as a suspect in a criminal case on illegal possession of ammunition, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told by a close female relative of Islam Kumyshev on February 18.
Today, residents of the Sovkhoznoye village have sent a letter to Kazbek Kokov, the leader of Kabardino-Balkaria, with a request to pay attention to the problem with the lack of land plots for farming voiced by Islam Kumyshev, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told by Zera Gongapsheva, a resident of the village.
"All people are to get jobs so that they do not leave their houses. To solve the problem, land plots should be allocated to the villagers. We ask you to solve the problem of allocating land plots without auctions, since we are short of money to participate in the auction, and during any auction, we will always lose to those who have a lot of money," wrote the villagers in their appeal, a copy of which was sent to the "Caucasian Knot".
