Kemal Tambiev goes on hunger strike in SIZO
Kemal Tambiev, accused of financing terrorism, has demanded to provide him with books, the Koran and create due conditions at the SIZO (pre-trial prison) cell, where he is kept.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Tambiev is accused of financing terrorism, together with the journalist, Abdulmumin Gadjiev, and Abubakar Rizvanov, the head of the "Ansar" Charity Fund. They all deny their guilt. According to investigators, Gadjiev transferred money to the accounts of the funds created by the preacher, Israil Akhmednabiev (Abu Umar Sasitlinsky), whom investigators treat as the organizer of financing terrorism through charitable funds under the pretext of building mosques and helping poor Muslims.
On March 20, Kemal Tambiev, who is in custody at SIZO-1 of Makhachkala, went on a hunger strike, the "Chernovik" (Draft) weekly has reported. He has demanded to provide him with the necessary conditions for life: to install a refrigerator in the cell, to bring the inmates of the special block for walks in the open air. He has also asked to accept books from his friends for the SIZO's library, to prove the legality of the ban to have in the cell more than one Koran (as well as the Bible or Torah), to renew subscription to newspapers and put the work with e-mails in due order.
