Armenian authorities allocate USD 306 million for anti-crisis measures
The Armenian government has started implementing 13 programmes to support small and medium-sized businesses, as well as helping the population to mitigate the economic and social consequences of the coronavirus epidemic, the Prime Minister, Nikol Pashinyan, stated on April 17.
According to his story, the government has developed four economic assistance programmes for supporting businesses and nine social assistance programmes to the population. The authorities have allocated about 150 billion drams (about USD 306 million) to implement the programmes, Mr Pashinyan said live on the Facebook, which was watched by the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
Nikol Pashinyan also said that banks and credit organizations have provided credit vacations to almost 11,000 legal entities totalling 35 billion drams (USD 71.5 million), and to about 380,000 individuals totalling 15 billion drams (USD 30.6 million).
