OSCE demands to find those guilty of attacking journalists in Azerbaijan

On December 27, Robin Seaword, head of the Baku OSCE office, expressed his concern of inactivity of the Azerbaijani police in relation to assaults on representatives of opposition papers that took place last Sunday and Monday.

According to Mr. Seaword, special concern is that the crimes were committed in public places in the daytime. The diplomat believes that to justify the trust of the people to the authorities, the law enforcement bodies shall quickly search and bring to justice the performers and organizers of the attacks, the "Lenta.Ru" reports.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported earlier that on December 25 in the capital of Azerbaijan, Nidzhat Daglar, reporter of the "Azadlyg" newspaper, and journalist Ali Orudzhev, press secretary of the Party of the National Independence of Azerbaijan (PNIA), were violently beaten.
