Poisoning of Litvinenko: General Prosecutor's Office wants Scotland Yard to question Berezovsky
Scotland Yard has been asked to interrogate Boris Berezovsky at the earliest opportunity on the case of murder of Alexandr Litvinenko, former FSB officer, and attempted murder of businessman Dmitri Kovtun, which is under investigation by the Russian prosecutor's office. This request is contained in the international request for investigation directed to the UK Royal Prosecutor's Service by the Russian General Prosecutor's Office.
The RF General Prosecutor's Office has directed an official request to London asking to conduct a complex of investigative actions, including interrogations of a large number of people, in particular, businessman Boris Berezovsky, reports "Interfax" with a reference to its source at the General Prosecutor's Office.
The request for investigation contains more than 100 pages and lists specific persons to be interrogated by law enforcement officers of UK, as well as places to be inspected. According to the agency source, all these persons and places are to a various extent connected with poisoning of Litvinenko and Kovtun.
