Beslan terror act victims doubt that Kulaev is still alive

The persons affected by the terror act in Beslan are asking the authorities to provide proofs that the only survived terrorist who took part in school seizure is still alive.

Ella Kesaeva, representative of the "Voice of Beslan" organization, suspects that Nurpashi Kulaev is no longer above ground, since he did not appear at the session of the Supreme Court at consideration of cassation to his verdict.

"We plan to address the respective bodies with a request, or even to demand a meeting with Kulaev," Ms. Kesaeva declared on air of the "Echo Moskvy."

We remind you that earlier the Supreme Court of North Ossetia pled Kulaev guilty on 8 Articles of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, including banditism, murders and hostage-taking.

As a result of militants' attack on School No. 1 of Beslan on September 1-3, 2004, 1128 persons were taken hostage by terrorists. The total casualties of terrorist actions made 334 hostages, including 186 children. 728 persons were injured.
