Dagestani athlete arrested in Moscow on terrorism charges

A Moscow court has ruled to place Sirazhudin Mamedov, a freestyle wrestling coach, suspected of assisting terrorism, behind bars for two months.

Mamedov is arrested until February 15, 2021, the press service of the Basmanny Court of Moscow has reported.

Earlier, the "Caucasian Knot" has reported that a Moscow court sentenced Dinislam Shamaev, a native of Dagestan, to seven years in colony and a large fine, having found him guilty of transferring money to militants of a terrorist organization in Syria.
