Another suspect of avian flu died in Azerbaijan

On February 6, in Azerbaijan, Zamina Zeinalova, 37, a resident of the Boyat village of the Neftechalinskiy District, died at the Scientific-Research Institute of Pulmonary Diseases, where she was hospitalized with a suspicion of avian flu.

The correspondent of the "Caucasian Knot" was informed at the press service of the Ministry of Public Health of the Republic that blood samples of the perished woman will be sent to London reference-laboratory for analysis. Her blood tests made in the local laboratory have revealed no indications of the presence of avail flu viruses.

Meanwhile, the State Veterinary Service has refuted the information on mass poultry mortality in certain villages of the Sabirabad District.

In the meantime, pneumonia was reliably defined as the death reason of the 14 years old resident of the Daikend village of the Salian District, who died on January 28.

Five persons have died already from the avian flu virus in Azerbaijan.
