Ingushetia: human rights defenders inquire into the death circumstances of two local residents
In the city of Nazran, members of power agencies have swept an automobile with two men inside. The news has become known from the employees of the Human Rights Centre "Memorial." According to the available information, the incident took place in the vicinity of the building housing the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate ("GIBDD") of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of Ingushetia.
Earlier, the RIA "Novosti" has informed that two militants have been killed in Ingushetia.
A spokesman from the MIA of Ingushetia has informed that the operation was carried out at about 3:00 p.m. in the centre of Nazran near the building of the "GIBDD" Central Directorate of the Republic. He said that "during the chase, the suspects tried to escape from militiamen and to use firearms. They were liquidated by response fire. During the search, several self-made grenades, a mine and two Makarov pistols were found on the militants." The source in the law enforcement bodies of Ingushetia has reported that the liquidated militants are suspected of a series of attacks on militia servants.
