Goran Lenmarker: elections in Armenia will brake down settlement of Nagorny Karabakh conflict

President Goran Lenmarker and General Secretary Spenser Oliver of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly arrived to Azerbaijan. Mr. G. Lenmarker has noted in his talk to journalists that no progress could be expected in settling Nagorny Karabakh conflict because of the forthcoming parliamentary elections in May in Armenia. The OSCE representative has added that the negotiating process will be renewed only after the elections.

But at the same time he has stated the presence of nice opportunities to settle the conflict. According to Mr. Lenmarker, the proposals of the Minsk Group of the OSCE are still "the best solution," and it is high time to reach the agreement, which is important not only for the parties in the conflict, but for entire Europe.
