Christian Bzhania: pre-election campaign in Abkhazia is not accompanied by any skirmishes
In Abkhazia, they have perceived with irony the messages of Georgian mass media about certain alleged skirmishes between supporters of the president and vice-president of the Republic, the correspondent of the "Caucasian Knot" reports.
"There were no skirmishes and facts of weapon usage at all in connection with the pre-election campaign in the Republic. We are a civilized state, and all debates among candidates are held within the framework of the provided time on air. Abkhazia is not Georgia, where politicians are beating each other in parliament and poisoned with gas at leased apartments," runs the briefing for the press, made by Christian Bzhania, official representative of the president for contacts with the media.
Neither president nor vice-president has ever nominated their "pocket" candidates for parliament deputies. "They have no need to do it - the heads of the country work in close contact, and there are no problems in their mutual relations," Mr. Bzhania has emphasized.
