Militants may get amnestied again in Chechnya
Ramzan Kadyrov, recently approved by the Chechen Parliament of Chechnya as the head of the Republic, intends to strive for a new amnesty for participants of armed formations in Chechnya.
Mr. Kadyrov told this in his interview to one of Russian mass media. In the opinion of the head of Chechnya, the new amnesty should cover the militants who currently stay abroad.
In Chechnya, according to official data, during the previous amnesty, announced last autumn, from 439 to 500 militants laid down their arms.
In the opinion of a number of observers, among those who surrendered, there were very few real participants of military actions.
"Many of the amnestied militants say openly that they seriously fear of this or that prosecution by the authorities in the future," one of local political scientists thinks.
