Abkhazia is not surprised with negative reaction of the West to the elections
The Abkhazian leadership does not react to the "choral protest of democratic countries against democratic processes in Abkhazia." Sergey Shamba, Minister of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Abkhazia, has told about it to the correspondent of the "Caucasian Knot," when making his comments on the statements made by the USA, European Union, NATO and all the countries and organizations who voiced their protest against the March 4 elections to the Parliament of Abkhazia.
In the words of the Abkhazian MFA head, these elections are "another step to an independent democratic state."
Political scientist Manana Gurgulia has stated, in her turn, that the reaction of the USA, NATO, European Union and others indicates that they are not indifferent to the Sunday's elections in Abkhazia. "Otherwise, they would just have ignored them. It means that Abkhazia is on the right track," Manana Gurgulia has emphasized.
