Head of Azerbaijani MFA invited to Washington
On March 20-23, an official visit of Elmar Mamedyarov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, to the USA will take place. Mr. Mamedyarov himself told about it in his conversation with the correspondent of the "Caucasian Knot." He said that his meeting with State Secretary Condoleezza Rice is scheduled for March 22.
During the visit, Mr. Mamedyarov will also hold a number of other meetings and talks in Washington. The visit will take place under an official invitation of Condoleezza Rice.
We note here that many analytics think that the Iran issue will be the main topic for discussion during Elmar Mamedyarov's visit. In the opinion of the experts, Washington will try to win the official Baku over to Azerbaijan's participation in a probable American-Iranian war.
