Moscow court defeats a claim lodged by parents of soldier killed in North Caucasus

The Lefortovo District Court of Moscow has rejected a claim lodged by the Human Rights Foundation "Mother's Rights" on behalf of the parents of Alexander Makmatov, a soldier killed on the border of North Ossetia and Ingushetia. Anna Kashirtseva, press-secretary of the Foundation, has informed the correspondent of the "Caucasian Knot" about it. We remind you: the human rights defenders demanded from the Military Unit No. 3754 of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation to compensate the parents' moral damage caused by the death of their son.

"The Judge has given no motives of her decision. She has listened to the opinions of the parties and made her verdict. So far, the resolutory part thereof only has been announced, just stating that the claim was rejected. But in any case we intend to appeal against it," Anna Kashirtseva has declared.
