Today Azerbaijan marks the Memory Day of the victims of genocide against Azerbaijanis who perished during the events of March-April of 1918. On that day, March 31, 1918, armed regiments of Armenian Dashnaks with support of Bolshevik leaders of the Baku Commune committed a massacre of peaceful Azerbaijani population. In Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, and in regions, about 50,000 Azerbaijanis were murdered, many settlements, monuments of architecture, mosques and medreses were ruined.
