Blasters of Grozny-Moscow train sentenced to 18 and 19 years in jail

The Moscow Regional Court has sentenced the criminals who exploded in 2005 summer the Grozny-Moscow train to 18 an 19 years of deprivation of freedom, a Court's source reported. According to the Court representative, both defendants were found guilty under all the incriminated Articles of the Criminal Code (CC) of Russia.

Earlier, the jury found them guilty, the RIA "Novosti" reports. "By the majority of jurors' votes, both suspects have been found guilty under all the Articles, including terrorism (Article 205 of the Russian CC)," Valery Prilepskiy, advocate of the one of the defendants, said. At the same time, the jury has concluded that both culprits involved deserve some leniency.

The "Caucasian Knot" has informed earlier that the explosion of the Grozny-Moscow train was committed on June 12, 2005, in the 153rd kilometre of the railway in the Uzunovo-Bogatischevo section. Four passenger cars were thrown off the track, and 42 passengers later applied for medical help.
