CTO regime lifted in Dagestani Buynaksk District

The operative headquarters has cancelled the counterterrorist operation (CTO) regime in the Buynaksk District of Dagestan, where two militants were killed.

The CTO regime was introduced in the Buynaksk District on September 10. The CTO was conducted in a forest near the village of Talgi; many militaries appeared in the village, local residents said. The Russian National Antiterrorist Committee (NAC) has reported the killing of two militants who opened fire in response to demands for surrender. According to sources, the casualties were identified as Urudj Ramazanov and Eiruz Abdulaev.

The official version of the CTO raised doubts among Instagram users, who indicated that the state of the objects shown in the video about the CTO, which, according to law enforcers had belonged to the killed militants, failed to meet the conditions of staying in the forest.

The CTO in the Buynaksk District became the second one in Dagestan since the start of the year. The previous CTO was conducted on March 11 in Makhachkala.
