Operative headquarters claims poorer COVID-19 situation in five regions of Southern Russia
Over the last week, the epidemiological situation with coronavirus has worsened in Dagestan, Kabardino-Balkaria, Ingushetia, Kalmykia and the Rostov Region; it has improved in the Volgograd Region, the operative headquarters for COVID-19 prevention stated on January 6.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that during the New Year and Christmas holidays, the regions of Northern Caucasus decided to accommodate tourists only upon presentation of the QR code about vaccination against coronavirus, a certificate about a suffered disease, or a medical exemption.
The coronavirus situation has improved in seven regions of Russia, including one in Southern Russia, namely, in the Volgograd Region, the headquarters has stated today. According to the heat map posted on the Stopcoronavirus.rf website, the Volgograd Region has changed its status from dark orange to orange.
According to the operative headquarters, the coronavirus situation has worsened in 24 regions of Russia, including five regions of Southern Russia, namely, in Dagestan, Kabardino-Balkaria, Ingushetia, Kalmykia and Rostov Region. In the heat map, they are now marked in red.
