NGOs of South Ossetia: our people will never reconcile with live within Georgian state
Today, the NGOs of the Republic of South Ossetia have disseminated their Appeal to International Community.
"Georgia is still aspiring to settle the Georgian-Ossetian conflict exclusively through force methods, opposing the 'need' to restore its mythical territorial integrity to the faultless political and legal grounds of South Ossetia's independence. This very aim is pursued by the unprecedented militarization of the neighbouring state, escalation of its military presence near our borders and armed provocations, where both Ossetians and Georgians fall victim," the Appeal, disseminated today, on the Independence Day of Georgia, says.
The Appeal was sent to the United Nations, Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), OSCE, NATO, and European NGOs and public organizations.
"These Georgian actions," the Appeal further runs, "are accompanied by the country leaders' hypocritical peaceful rhetoric addressed to the democratic community, political tricks, fabrication of dozens 'plans of peaceful settlement' and spinning up the gamble with the virtual 'alternative authorities of South Ossetia,' whose representatives, expelled from the public environment of the Ossetian people, in no case can represent the interests of the latter."
